Summer intensive + Creative process 2022

Bennyroyce Dance is excited to launch its first-ever summer intensive — August 15-27, 2022 — hosted by Dance Conservatory Seattle! This unique experience delivers a rigorous and well-rounded summer dance training and provides a networking opportunity for young and talented dancers, ages 15-25, interested in building a successful career in dance. The two-week schedule includes daily in-person classes, rehearsals, and dance lectures with some of the most respected dance artists in the field. Dancers will take ballet and contemporary classes, followed by a creative process with Bennyroyce Royon and his project-dancers. Participants attending the entire program will get to perform for a live audience during an Informal Showing on Saturday, August 27, 2022.

DETAILS

  • August 15-27, 2022 (one week option available)

  • Monday thru Friday, 10:00am - 5:00pm

  • Informal Studio Showing on Saturday, August 27, time TBD

  • LOCATION: Dance Conservatory Seattle, 426 S Cloverdale St., Seattle, WA, 98018

  • Must show proof of COVID-19 vaccination

  • We currently require face masks for staff, participants, and audiences. We will closely follow current CDC and local public health guidelines and will provide further information at the beginning of the program. Thank you for helping keep our dancers safe!

TUITION

  • $350 per week ($295 per week before May 31, 2022)

  • Participants may attend a one-week session, but we recommend the entire two-week experience!

  • Payment in full required upon acceptance

  • Dancers ages 15-25 must have at least 2 years of formal dance training

  • Only 15 dancers will be accepted each week

  • Housing is not provided

Scholarship

Scholarships are available on a limited, first-come-first-serve basis to those who are in need. We also offer scholarships to LGBTQ+ and BIPOC+ dancers. Scholarship recipients may be asked to participate in volunteer opportunities. Please fill out the scholarship form by Monday, July 25, 2022, 5:00pm (Pacific).
